Kiddos Daycare

Policy Handbook

Welcome and thank you choosing Kiddos Daycare.  Since this daycare will be your child’s home away from home, we will provide a safe, caring, and homelike atmosphere while providing for their physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development.  Please read the policies of Kiddos Daycare carefully.

All providers at Kiddos Daycare have been drug tested, TB tested, Infant, Child and Adult CPR Certified, Infant, Child, and Adult First Aid Certified, Safe Sleeping, and Universal Precaution Certified.  Kiddos Daycare meets all requirements according to the State of Indiana.

Nondiscrimination:
Kiddos Daycare will not discriminate toward the admission of any child on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, or disability.

Daycare Rules:
Please NO SHOES past the foyer.  Shoes are not allowed in any part of the carpeted daycare.  This means children and parents.

The children will be taught by example and have to respect themselves and each others.  They will also be taught to respect this property and the belongings within this daycare.

Any negative or acting out behavior is not allowed.  This includes but not limited to hitting, punching, biting, kicking, standing or jumping on furniture, throwing any objects at people, and especially bad and inappropriate language.  Children are sponges and Kiddos Daycare will not tolerate any type of profanity.

Discipline:
Kiddos Daycare will strive to offer praise for good behavior.  Should any negative behavior arise, Kiddos Daycare will deal with the issue in one of three ways:

1.)    Redirection: Toddlers will simply be told “No” and be redirected to another activity area.
2.)    Reasoning: If able to communicate, children will be told in easy to understand terms why their behavior should not continue.
3.)    Time-out: Should negative behavior continue the child will be placed in a time out chair.  The child will remain in time out for one minute per age of the child. (Three year old=three minutes)
4.)     Should the behavior continue on a daily basis, Kiddos Daycare will request a conference with the parent to resolve the issue.
5.)     Should negative behavior that results in serious injury to another child or employee continue, Kiddos Daycare will terminate all contracts and terminate enrollment for the child.

Drop off/Pick up:
Please arrive on time.  We understand circumstances can occur, so if you will be late dropping off or picking up your child, please call as soon as possible to adjust any schedules if needed.  Any unannounced late pickups, you will be charged $1.00 per minute you are late.  No exceptions.

All children over the age of 12 months should arrive fully dressed and ready for the day.  Please do not bring your child in pajamas.  (Kiddos Daycare follows a standardize schedule and changing children into day clothes would only further delay the schedule).

At the time of pick up, please understand that until you leave the premises, the child must continue to respect other children and the property.

Fees/Payments:
Fees to Kiddos Daycare will be made every week on Mondays.  Please notify me if you need to make other arrangements to pay on another day. $25.00 fee will be assessed if paid late.

Kiddos Daycare does accept checks.  Please make them out to Kiddos Daycare.  Should we receive an NSF returned to us, you will be charged an NSF fee of $25.00, and will cover any costs our bank imposes on us.  A second NSF check will result in all payments made in cash or money order. No exceptions.

Kiddos Daycare will provide weekly receipts for all payments made.  Please check in your child’s cubby for them.

Fees are paid for an entire week, so Kiddos Daycare does not reimburse for a day your child misses daycare.

Kiddos Daycare requires a two week written notice if you are terminating childcare for any reason.  If Kiddos Daycare can no longer provide care for your child, we will give a written two week notice stating the reason for termination.
